Our Mission

Under God, to encourage and resource local churches in evangelism and church planting,
in order that every Australian might have an opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel.


Vision

Our prayer and vision is to see local churches around Australia regularly engaged in:-

Evangelistic Prayer
Praying for the spread of the gospel within their communities and networks
.

Evangelism Training
Running evangelism training for their members.

Evangelism
Reaching out with the gospel to their communities and networks.

Church Planting
Planting churches and congregations.

Ministry Recruitment
Encouraging their members to consider full or part time gospel ministry.


Primary Ministry Activities

We seek to fulfill this vision (God willing) through:-

•   Organising national multi-church initiatives in each of these five areas.
•   Providing Biblically based evangelism and church planting resources.
•   Running conferences and training around Australia.

Gospel Outreach works across a range of Protestant denominations.

Gospel Outreach is committed to working in partnership with other like-minded Christian organizations where appropriate.

Gospel Outreach is committed to maintaining a lean, efficient administrative structure.


Organisational Structure

•   Incorporated non-profit association established by Greg Middleton in February 1994.
•   Registered as an income tax exempt charity with the Tax Office (ABN 98 8181 945 830).
•   Non-denominational - activities are overseen by a Board.

Greg Middleton
Executive Officer

Greg is the Executive Officer of Gospel Outreach Ministries. Greg originally established Gospel Outreach in 1994 and has been involved in coordinating a range of multi-church evangelistic initiatives and conferences on behalf of a number of Christian organisations.



Peter Kaldor
Chair

Peter is the managing director of ECOM (Evangelising Commerce) and is involved in evangelism to the business community and assisting Christians in establishing ministries within their workplace.

 



Ian Harrison
Information Technology

Ian is our IT guy. He has worked in the IT industry for many years and is involved in programming and web site design. Ian has created websites for a number of Christian organisations.

Gospel Outreach is funded through donations from our generous supporters.

Previous Projects

Fresh Start 2000
Evangelistic initiative involving approximately 70 churches primarily from Sydney. Organised in conjunction with Evangelism Ministries.

Fresh Start 2002
Evangelistic initiative involving approximately 45 churches from Sydney and North West NSW. Organised in conjunction with Evangelism Ministries.

Rico Tice Conferences (2003)
Organised in conjunction with Evangelism Ministries.

Praying Australia (March 2004)
National prayer initiative involving about 450 churches from around Australia (organized in association with the Recreating Australia project).

Recreating Australia National Congress on Evangelism (May 2004)
Sponsored by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Assoc (Australia).

Training Australia (August-November 2004)
National training initiative aimed at assisting churches and Christian organizations in planning and implementing evangelism. In total, 49 training days were held in major cities and regional centres throughout Australia (organized in association with the Recreating Australia project).

College of Church Planters Conferences (2004 and 2005)
Organised in conjunction with the College of Church Planters (Sydney Anglican Diocese).

Evangelism in the 21st Century Conferences (2005)
Organised in conjunction with the United Evangelistic Council. Rico Tice (UK) was the keynote speaker.

Mission Shaped Church Conferences (2004, 2005 and 2006)
Organised in conjunction with Church Army Australia.

Martin Robinson Conference (Feb 2006)
One day conference in Sydney on evangelism and church planting with Martin Robinson (UK).

Robert Warren Conference (Sept 2006)
One day conference in Sydney on Growing Healthy Churches with Canon Robert Warren (UK).

Great News Australia (Feb-Dec 2006)
National evangelistic initiative organised in partnership with the Bible Society NSW. Over 210 churches and groups from around Australia registered to take part.

Bible Explained Launch (Oct-Nov 2006)
Organised in conjunction with Christianity Explained Ministries (Rev Michael Bennett).

Church Planting Australia (Apr 2007 - Apr 2008)
National church/congregation planting programme.

Planning to Plant Conferences (Feb 2007)
Seven one-day conferences on church planting with Martin Robinson (UK). The conferences were run in capital cities around Australia.

Passion for Preaching Conferences (Aug 2007)
Five one-day conferences on preaching run in capital cities around Australia. Organised in partnership with Sydney Missionary & Bible College.

Church Planting: Countdown and Launch Conferences (Oct 2007)
Five one-day conferences on church planting with Stuart Robinson. The conferences were run in capital cities around Australia.

Evangelisng Australia National Conference (11-14 Feb 2008)
Four day conference in Sydney which covered Biblical Preaching, Evangelism, Church Planting and Raising up Gospel workers.

Vision for Ministry Initiative (Jun 2008)
National initiative where local churches ran an evening aimed at encouraging their members to consider entering full or part time vocational ministry.

John Lennox (UK) Conference (Aug 2008)
Organised in partnership with the Centre for Public Christianity.

Apologetics in the 21st Century Conference (Mar 2009)
Organised in partnership with the Centre for Public Christianity.

Preach the Good News Conferences (Aug 2009)
Three one-day conferences on preaching in Hobart, Melbourne and Brisbane. Organised in partnership with Sydney Missionary & Bible College.
