the Good News Conferences (Tue 4 - Thu 6 August 2009)
In these one day conferences Rev David Cook (Principal
Sydney Missionary & Bible College - SMBC), Dr Abraham Kuruvilla
(Professor of Preaching, Dallas Theological Seminary USA) and Dr
Malcolm Gill (Lecturer in NT and Preaching SMBC) will look at a
number of key elements in preparing and delivering Biblical sermons
and talks with a particular focus on preaching Mark's Gospel.

Apologetics in
the 21st Century Conference (Sat 28 March 2009)
Apologetics in the 21st Century is a one day conference
to be held in Sydney with John Dickson and Greg Clarke from the
Centre for Public Christianity. The conference looks at the
issue of apologetics and how Christians can respond to questions
and issues about their faith in a thoughtful, gracious manner.
Topics covered will include:-
" Biblical foundations for apologetics.
" An overview of apologetics and some principles for dealing
with people's questions and issues.
" Worldviews and how they shape people's thinking (whether
they know it or not).
" A number of common issues that people raise.
There will be ample opportunity for questions
and discussion throughout the day.
